AWARDS
Tom Wins a New Mercedes!

What? Yes, that's right. As hard as it to believe, I just won a Mercedes-Benz in a marketing contest.
For the last 2 years I have been working with an IT Marketing Consultant, Robin Robins. She helps computer geeks grow their businesses. Even though I'm not a computer geek, she has helped me change how I look at my business and marketing.
I'm sure you noticed all the new crazy things we have been doing, like this newsletter, video tips, wrapped cars, books, DVDs, referral contests, seminars, webinars, etc. Now you know where I got all the ideas.

Each year Robin holds a contest. Of her 4000 plus clients, about 150 were eligible to enter and she narrowed it down to 7 finalists. We sent a contest entry packet that was about 6" thick of documentation of our marketing campaigns and strategies. As a finalist, I was required to give a 10 minute presentation for the 450 people who attended the 2011 Boot Camp in Nashville, TN. Wow, did I practice to get the performance just right.
I even had my Barbershop Quartet videotape a special song for Robin. You can watch the video at
www.ezsolution.com/car.
As an added bonus with the car, I get to be Robin's spokesperson for the year. I'm looking forward to a little bit of travel.
I asked Robin to share some thoughts with you about the award. Here's what she had to say:
"Tom is a true marketing rockstar and I'm super excited to have him as Spokesperson for my company and Ambassador to the Industry. He literally took every campaign I gave him and put it all to work for his business. As a result, he achieved a 22% increase in revenue over the past year and increased his bottom line profits by an unheard of 527%. Tom's true differentiator is his ability to follow through on every promise he makes to his customers and his passion for communicating through social media; his web campaigns are nothing short of brilliant. If you want to know how to have your most profitable, most successful year ever in business, watch Tom Malesic."
Personally, I'm most excited that she thinks I'm a rockstar. Not many Barbershoppers get described that way. I extend a special thanks to my staff and all my clients who made 2010 a very special year.
Boot Camp 2011 had several notable speakers in between sessions on IT Marketing. Here are some of the best:

Bill Rancic, the first Apprentice, gave us a taste of life with Trump and his amazing journey since his three years with "The Donald". His new book, Beyond the Lemonade Stand, is written for 8-13 year olds to get them started on the path to entrepreneurship.

Sean Stephenson flies around the world to deliver seminars and presentations on how to get rid of the excuses and negative self-sabotage that hold us back from achieving our most prized goals. He is a board certified psychotherapist and runs his private practice in Oakbrook, IL. Tom's favorite quote from Sean, "Happiness comes from within."

Robert Stevenson is a professional speaker and author. He taught us if you are going to remain successful - and thrive - in this highly competitive, cut-throat economy, you cannot remain mediocre. The EZSolution team is excited to embrace the principles from his book 52 Habits for Success.

Nido Qubein came to the United States as a teenager with little knowledge of English, no contacts and only $50 in his pocket, yet ended up a mega-success story, and is now one of America's most admired and in-demand speakers, business consultants and advisors to CEOs. Tom's favorite quote from Nido, "don't just create To-Do lists - create TO-BE lists".
